Dear Movie Lovers,

“Spring can really hang you up the most.”—Ella Fitzgerald

It is with a surreal sense that I write you this letter. Governor Polis has requested that all restaurants, bars, and movie theaters close for 30 days beginning March 17, 2020, due to the Coronavirus outbreak. There were plenty of times I thought I would have to write our obituary due to an assortment of reasons, but not this one. Spring is a tough time for theaters, especially independent ones; good movies are scarce, and attendance is down. It seems now that the perfect storm is here. We are hoping to survive this closure, as deep corporate pockets, we do not possess. We here at Kimball’s wish all of you courage and compassion as we weather this crisis together. I want to thank all of you for your continued patronage and look forward to seeing you on the flip side. Hang tough, wash your hands, and be kind to each other.
